BANGKOK —— Goodyear Thailand recently held its annual National Dealer Conference in Bangkok where managing director, Finbarr O’Connor, outlined the business’ 2015 growth plans and ambitions to set new industry benchmarks in tyre innovation and service levels in Thailand.
O’Connor stated that Goodyear Thailand is committed to remaining a leader in the tyre industry in Thailand through delivering a strategy based on having best in class products, people and dealers throughout country.
“To ensure we have a sustainable and growth oriented business, we need to be first with our customers, the innovation leader, the leader in our target markets and competitively advantaged in everything that we do,” O’Connor said to the audience of over 100 tyre dealers that had gathered for Goodyear’s annual conference.
“Goodyear Thailand is committed to provide best in class products based on Goodyear’s global innovation excellence, which will supported by a top team with a common focus on being first with our customers and achieving sustainable growth.”
O’Connor continued by emphasising the importance of continuing to develop a strong dealer network that is able to better meet the increasing needs and expectations of consumers.
“We know that having the very best products and teams though is not sufficient to keep our position as an industry leader, and these must be complemented with a very skilled and customer focused network of dealers—as these are the people who interact with consumers and represent our brand to them every day,” O’Connor said.
“In Thailand, we now have 51 Goodyear Autocare branded stores, as well as a significant network of aligned multi-brand dealers who share our commitment to product and service excellence. And our goal is to continue to grow the number of Goodyear Autocare stores so we can meet and exceed the tyre and auto servicing related needs of even more Thai motorists in 2015.”
