Vespiario (Thailand) Co., Ltd., the sole distributor of Italian premium scooters Vespa and Piaggio in Thailand, will mark the 68th anniversary of Vespa with a historic caravan of Italian scooters to campaign for donation of safety helmets to children under the “Help Save One Life by Giving a Kid a Helmet” project held in partnership with Asia Injury Prevention Foundation (AIP Foundation). Fans of Italian scooters nationwide are invited to be part of this major get-together to revel in an Italian carnival and enjoy live music from a host of famous artists.
Saturday, 14 March 2014 will see Vespiario Thailand celebrating the 68th anniversary of Italy’s premium scooters at “68 Years of Vespa La Festa” that will evince great popularity of Vespa scooters in Thailand for longer than 50 years. The event will be preceded at 13:00 hr by a major get-together of more than 3,000 Vespa and Piaggio fans from across the nation without restriction of production models and periods of the scooters they own. Together, they will form a historic caravan of Vespa scooters on the open ground of Asiatique The Riverfront and ride to the Royal Turf Club of Thailand (Nang Lerng racecourse).
The caravan celebrates the 68th anniversary and campaigns for “Help Save One Life by Giving a Kid a Helmet” project, through which Vespiario (Thailand) Co., Ltd and AIP Foundation jointly give away safety helmets of decent standards to children nationwide to contribute to road safety and injury prevention. Each count of Vespa or Piaggio scooter joining this caravan will turn into one helmet to be donated by Vespiario (Thailand) Co., Ltd. Net proceeds from the event will also be contributed to provision of more helmets for the kids.

68 Years of Vespa La Festa at the Royal Turf Club of Thailand (Nang Lerng racecourse) will start at 15:30 hr in a lively ambience of an Italian carnival that traces back to production of the first Vespa scooters in the late 40’s and the glories of Vespa with Thai culture during 50’s and 60’s.
The event will feature an exhibition of Vespa scooters from different periods, stalls of authentic Italian food and drinks, a flea market by Cheeze/Looker Magazine offering vintage souvenirs and collectibles for sale, live music performances by famous artists, including Apiwat “Stamp” Eurthavornsuk, Scrubb and Flure, and not to mention the chance to ride home a 68th Anniversary Limited Edition Vespa as the grand prize from this festival.
Interested owners of Vespa and Piaggio scooters can join the 68th anniversary caravan on Saturday, 14 March 2015 completely free of charge to the caravan participants. Pre-registration is now open at www.vespa.co.th/68register.
Interested public are also welcomed to join the event at Nang Loeng racecourse on Phitsanulok Road from 15:30 hr onwards. Admission is THBaht 200,- (ticket are sold at the front gate). Net proceeds from the event will go to AIP Foundation.
