PROTON Persona SV is the Best Value for Money Passenger Car 2014

– Award won at the Autoworld Car of the Year Awards 2014


SUBANG JAYA, Selangor, Malaysia, 26 January 2015 —— Malaysia’s national automotive manufacturer PROTON Holdings Bhd (PROTON) has won an award at the Autoworld Car of the Year Awards 2014 for one of its best-selling models, the Persona SV. The event was held recently at Tropicana Golf and Country Resort, Petaling Jaya with 20 winners from a total of 28 nominated cars.

Proton Persona SV won in the “Best Value For Money Passenger Car” category.

The independent judging to acclaim only the best cars amongst the best, the Autoworld Car of the Year Awards 2014 selects its winners using a unique scoring matrix that combines scores from a panel of judges and also an online voting poll open to its database of over 130,000 registered members and more than 200,000 monthly unique visitors.

“We would like to thank Autoworld and fellow online voters for the selection. This shows that Malaysians still believe and consider Persona SV as the best car that provide exceptional value-for-money attributes which include improved quality, practicality, style and affordability in ownership,” said Dato’  Abdul Harith Abdullah, Chief Executive Officer of PROTON Holdings Berhad.

Since the Autoworld Car of the Year Awards started in 2010, Proton Exora has won the “Best MPV: Overall Value for Money” award. In 2011, the Proton Inspira 2.0P won the “Best Compact Passenger Car” award, and in 2012, the Proton Exora Bold won the “Best MPV: Best Value for Money” award.

The Persona SV is fitted with 15-inch Alloy Wheel, 1-din radio with CD player, power steering and side mirror with built-in LED indicator light. Passenger safety is always a priority for PROTON, and the Persona SV comes with dual airbags with seatbelt pre-tensioner, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), as well as rear disc brakes. The Persona SV is available in manual and automatic transmissions and priced from RM45,046 (Peninsular Malaysia).
