BANGKOK, Thailand —— Chevrolet Sales Thailand showcased a range of special-edition vehicles designed to enable the lifestyles of customers at the 31st Thailand International Motor Expo 2014. Models on display include the Captiva Sport Edition, Trailblazer with optional ‘Urban Package’ and show versions of the popular Cruze sedan and Spin SUV.
In line with its theme The Road to Driving Confidence, Chevrolet also took the opportunity to emphasis after sale service known as Complete Care. Complete Care puts the customer at the centre of everything Chevrolet does and focuses on building long-term and sustainable relationships with customers.
“Our top priority continues to be delivering vehicles and experiences that people love, and earning customers for life, because customers are truly at the centre of everything we do,” said Marcos Purty, Managing Director, GM Thailand and Chevrolet Sales Thailand.
Una Tan, marketing director, Chevrolet Sales Thailand, added, “Record global sales show that more customers are discovering the exceptional design, performance, safety and quality of Chevrolet cars and trucks. Growth is important but aftersales service is just as important. Chevrolet is working hard to delight and excite a new generation of customers.”
“In 2015, our customers can look forward to the introduction of the Complete Care programme, a comprehensive approach to aftersales service. It covers a wide range of services, including warranty, mobile service, roadside assistance, maintenance, call centre support and Chevy Plus membership,” Tan said.
For a start, Complete Care offers a three-year or 100,000 km warranty for new Chevrolet vehicles, with Chevy Mobile Service professional technicians on standby to fix and provide counseling for emergencies. Maintenance and services will be carried out by Chevrolet-certified technicians.
Customers can also drive with confidence, knowing there is call centre support and parts delivery, in addition to roadside assistance and express service. Complete Care also allows customers to have access to the Chevy Plus privilege programme that includes free or discounted products and services from Amazon Café, SF Cinema City, Umm! Milk, McDonalds, Auntie Anne’s, Bangkok Airways, Thaiticket Major and much more.
In addition to the Complete Care programme, Chevrolet also introduces a range of models designed to excite and provide customers with something beyond ‘ordinary’ models. Leading the special-edition procession is the Captiva Sport Edition, which now comes with a rear view camera.
Activated when reverse gear is selected, the camera shows the area immediately behind the vehicle, on the on-board seven-inch touch-screen colour display. Automatically-adjusting gridlines show the vehicle’s potential coverage area, allowing the driver to judge if the chosen space is big enough for the Captiva. The projected coverage area changes its orientation according to the position of the steering wheel. In addition to convenience, the reverse camera also enhances safety, especially since it is impossible to see what is directly behind the vehicle from the driver’s seat.
The Captiva Sport Edition also comes with LED daytime running lights, increasing the vehicle’s visibility to oncoming traffic, especially in low-light conditions, and enhancing safety. Spoilers, body kits, a ‘Sport Edition’ decal and side-steps (for petrol models) separate the Captiva Sport Edition from the crowd.
Meanwhile, Trailblazer customers can opt to personalise their SUVs with the ‘Urban Package’. The package includes ceiling-mounted display for rear passengers, DVD player, rear-view camera and daytime running lights.
A special Cruze is also on display, dressed up in a body kit that includes spoilers and side skirts. To provide a sportier outlook, the show-car Cruze is also fitted with a chrome front grill and sport body kits with front and rear sport bumper, along with side skirt and rear spoiler, and chromium 17-inch alloy wheels. . A Spin show-car has also been dressed up with accessories to accentuate Spin’s urban and sporty pretensions.
Customers who purchase a Chevrolet during the Motor Expo will be entitled to some special packages that include zero per cent interest, free first-class insurance and instalments that start 90 days after vehicle delivery – applicable to all models.
Customers visiting Chevrolet’s booth during the Motor Expo can have their pictures taken with virtual Manchester United footballers projected on the green screen in the locker room display. Chevrolet’s booth also incorporates a ‘Town Square’ where customers and visitors can mingle and find out more about Chevrolet via strategically-placed digital touch points. Chevy Plus members can spend time in the exclusive Chevy Plus Lounge.
Chevrolet is located at Booth A12. The 31st Thailand International Motor Expo opens to the public from 29 November to 10 December 2014, at IMPACT Challenger Hall 1 – 3, Muang Thong Thani, Thailand.
