As the world’s leading performance motorsport apparel, protection and footwear company, Alpinestars growth across Asia is reflected by the launch of this world-class retail store in Bangkok where motorcycle and motorsports enthusiasts will be able to indulge their passion for the very latest in technology and style. The arrival of Marc Marquez in Thailand is a further demonstration of the significance and growth of the Thai market for Alpinestars and his status is expected to push the safety standards for motorcycle enthusiasts both on and off-road.
Today, Alpinestars introduced Marc Marquez, the two-time MotoGP Champion (2013-2014) to fans and followers of MotoGP in Thailand in an event that represented the young stars’ first ever visit to the country. Marc Marquez is not only the youngest-ever MotoGP world champion, but has also broken a succession of records in the course of his domination of the Championship over the last two consecutive years. He shared his racing inspirations and safety riding tips to the media and motorsport fans in Thailand in person at Alpinestars Flagship Superstore, A Square Sukhumvit 26. The “Meet&Greet with Marc Marquez”, exclusively by Alpinestars, had solidified the status and the company’s success as the latest hub of innovative protective apparels and accessories for motorcyclists and auto racers within the region.
“I am very pleased to have the opportunity to celebrate the launch of Alpinestars flagship superstore in Thailand, in person. It is my first visit to the country and although it is a short trip, I have really enjoyed the passion, friendship and kindness I have received from all the Thai motorsport fans and thank them for their continued support. I promise I will be back, hopefully to race in a Grand Prix here soon,” said the reigning World Champion about his first visit to the Thai capital.
Marquez also recalled his close relationship with Alpinestars. Since his debut in the junior category of the World Championship series in 2008, he has been actively participating in testing for the company’s racing research and development programme in MotoGP, providing direct feedback to help in shaping the innovation of protective products and technology that Alpinestars brings to its customers.
“I love Alpinestars and they continue to lead the way in safety for motorcyclists, both on the track and the road. Alpinestars has always been there for me throughout my career and their products protect me, give me confidence and that critical performance edge,” says Marc. “They test their new developments with me and use my feedback to help create products that customers can really benefit from, such as the Tech-Air airbag technology that gives the ultimate in body protection. I know – I’ve tested it! Like me, Alpinestars is always working to improve and that makes the difference in achieving great success.”
While at the launch, Marc also had the chance to do a meet & greet session with Thai fans and media, using his presence to raise awareness about safety and inspire riders, both riding on the street and when racing, to follow his lead and wear the best products available.
The new Alpinestars flagship superstore provides a full range of protective apparel and accessories, including suits, jackets, pants, shoes, gloves, lifestyle wear, for riding, touring, and racing. All Alpinestars products are certified under European safety standards.
