Fiat-Chrysler and Intesa Sanpaolo have launched a commercial partnership to provide customers of Intesa Sanpaolo Group banks exclusive offers for the lease or purchase of passenger cars and commercial vehicles, in addition to after sales services.
The agreement was signed by Alfredo Altavilla, COO EMEA Region for Fiat-Chrysler Group and Stefano Barrese, Marketing Director and Director of Planning and Management Control for Intesa Sanpaolo Group.
The partnership furthers the collaboration between the two groups who are both Official Global Partners of Expo Milano 2015, the universal exposition to be held in Milan from 1 May to 31 October 2015. Fiat-Chrysler is to provide a fleet of vehicles that will be used for transport inside the grounds of Expo Milano 2015 and as courtesy cars for the numerous delegations scheduled to attend the event. Intesa Sanpaolo has developed a wide range of initiatives for suppliers, sponsors and visitors focused in particular on the Smart City, Food and Tourism sectors. In addition, tickets for the Expo will be available for purchase from group banks via branches, ATMs and internet banking.
The immediate objective of the new partnership is to support households and small businesses by providing affordable solutions for mobility, which can represent one of the single largest expenditures. Italian consumers have expressed an increasing requirement for banks and businesses to develop new products and services that more closely meet their needs and enable them to simplify their lives, without costing them more.
This collaboration between Fiat-Chrysler and Intesa Sanpaolo, leaders in the business and banking worlds, also addresses the need for concrete action to stimulate a recovery in domestic consumption. 1
From the beginning of October, customers of group banks will be able to obtain a vehicle lease – just as corporate fleets have for years – with attractive payment terms that can be viewed on line. This formula packages the cost of owning a vehicle into an all-inclusive monthly payment that offers savings on license and registration fees and tax, insurance, maintenance and other unanticipated costs.
Other elements of the programme to be finalised by Intesa Sanpaolo and Fiat-Chrysler include joint offers for new vehicle purchases and special offers on after sales services.
For Alfredo Altavilla, the agreement with Intesa Sanpaolo “brings together two very important players in the national economy to offer services to everyone that will improve daily mobility, as we have already done with our car sharing programmes. Our group produces cars that are increasingly greener, technologically-advanced and comfortable. It is also important, however, that every other aspect of mobility meet the expectations of consumers. Today’s agreement is a step in that direction.”
Stefano Barrese commented that the agreement with Fiat-Chrysler “enables us to strengthen our offer in an area that represents a major cost for households and businesses alike. Some time ago, Intesa Sanpaolo set a target of becoming the provider of choice for 11.5 million customers – not just for banking and investment services, but also in other key areas such as insurance, purchases, and payments. In addition, the Bank has extended branch hours, including after business hours and Saturday mornings, as well as providing access to products and services via telephone and on line.”
