IBIZA, 26 August 2014 —— After the success in Monte Carlo and Marrakech, the Jeep brand also set its sights on the vibrant island of Ibiza, where the Blue Marlin will host a JSet lounge for the whole summer. Located in the beautiful Cala Jondal bay in the south-west of the island, accessible by boat or by car, the exclusive venue will become a meeting place for Jeep enthusiasts and everyone who shares the same values of adventure, authenticity and passion as the legendary US brand.
Under the Spanish island’s stunning starry sky, in an international setting, 4,000 guests and VIPs took part in the “Renegade Party” in the evening, an exclusive event dedicated to the Jeep Renegade, the first Fiat-Chrysler vehicle developed jointly by Italian and American designers. The vehicle as a whole is a finely balanced fusion of the US brand’s legendary off-road abilities – a byword for 4×4 freedom and driving for more than 70 years – and the style and dynamic performance that have always distinguished Italian cars worldwide.
The special guest at the event was the Jeep Renegade itself, in honour of which the bar was dressed with “Renegade” colours and features, including a big screen on to which videos of the new small SUV were projected. The event was marked with a performance by twenty professional ballet dancers, while several artists also created paintings inspired by the new Jeep vehicle live on-stage. Over 2,000 T-shirts were handed out for the occasion – customised with the “Blue Marlin Ibiza” and “Jeep Renegade” logos – along with 500 pairs of exclusive limited edition “Saraghina for Renegade” sunglasses, handed out as a souvenir of the evening .
Customised with Jeep badges and adorned in white and orange, the launch colours for the new Renegade, the Blue Marlin Ibiza is a stylish beach club which offers exclusive entertainment packages, such as the chance to spend the entire day lounging on the spectacular sand dunes and swimming in the crystal clear waters of the bay, before enjoying Mediterranean and Oriental fusion cuisine in the elegant restaurant with breathtaking sea views. At night the club becomes one of the island’s principal entertainment venues, offering all the latest sounds for a truly unforgettable experience.
During the evening, two Jeep Renegades were on show outside the entrance to Blue Marlin Ibiza, while inside a team of dedicated personnel were on hand to provide information and brochures on the entire Jeep range. JSet Blue Marlin Ibiza guests will also have access to a fleet of Jeep vehicles throughout the summer, to transport them from the island’s main tourist spots, in a place where culture and passion combine, where unspoilt bays and cliffs alternate with cosmopolitan resorts pulsing with life at any time of the day or night. Guests at the exclusive bar will also be invited to interact with the new Jeep Renegade in an activity both on site and online.
The new Jeep Renegade exudes the same international spirit, a real ‘globe-trotter’ which, in September, will begin its campaign to win over more than 100 countries throughout the world, including the United States. On offer in four different trim levels, depending on the market, the new Renegade is the first small SUV from Jeep, but also the brand’s first vehicle to be built beyond the American borders: the updated Italian SATA plant in Melfi (Potenza) will produce it for all international markets.
With JSet, the Jeep brand is making its mark in Europe’s most exclusive and on trend resorts. It’s a way for Jeep to meet its public, in attractive, exclusive settings, where guests can have dinner or simply enjoy a cocktail, whilst ‘breathing’ and living the values of an iconic automotive brand.
