Customer-Care-Leadership

BANGKOK, Thailand, 22 August 2014 –—- Chevrolet Sales Thailand announced that Supote Phuprasert has been named Director of Customer Care, effective immediately.

“Phuprasert brings significant experience and expertise to Chevrolet Sales Thailand,” said Marcos A. Purty, Managing Director, GM Thailand and Chevrolet Sales Thailand. “His automotive experience from outside General Motors, particularly his experience in after-sales and customer care services will help provide improved services and satisfaction to our customers.”

“As a newcomer to GM and an automotive industry veteran, Khun Supote is exactly what we need – fresh, new perspectives that will help Chevrolet’s growth in Thailand,” Purty added.

Supote is a mechanical engineering graduate from Kasetsart University. He also holds a master’s degree with first-class honours in business administration from the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA).

“Quality products breed customer satisfaction. Quality after-sales and customer care activities sustain customer satisfaction beyond the quality of our products, long after delivery. It also helps move customers’ experience from negative to neutral and from neutral to positive. We have everything at our disposal to succeed. The challenge is to align and form a strong customer care core, implement and enforce,” Supote said.

“On the dealer front, we will roll out initiatives that encourage dealers to provide a high standard of pre- and after-sales services. Our ultimate objective is to drive Chevrolet authorised service centres to deliver ‘manufacturing standard’ services for all, and to ensure that transparency of our service procedures is ever-present,” he added.

Supote added that he expects the Thai automotive industry is set to rebound in 2015, and Chevrolet Thailand is well-positioned for the future with a line-up of vehicles designed and built with great attention to quality. With a fresh outlook, he expects to back Chevrolet’s products with exemplary after sales and customer care services that will build and sustain meaningful long-term relationships with customers.
