BANGKOK —— Yanyont Square Group announced its readiness to host the Bangkok International Grand Motor Sale 2014 or BIG Motor Sale 2014 in mid August 2014 to sell automobiles and related products from over 300 operators. The debut of nine new models at the event is expected to draw attraction of over a million visitors to the event.
President and executive director of Yanyont Square Group, Jaruay Khanmanee stated that the Bangkok International Grand Motor Sale 2014 or BIG Motor Sale 2014 will be held for the first time from 16 to 24 August at Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC), covering an area of 30,000 sq. metre, and that the event is expected to be the largest automotive trade event in ASEAN.
He added that a total of 47 cars and 19 motorcycle brands agreed to participate and display their products in some way along with independent importers, ATV, UTV, bus, trucks and boat operators, including more than 300 car audio and accessories operators.
Among some of the participating brands are Toyota, Lexus, Nissan, SsangYong, Proton, Audi, Volvo, DongFeng (DFSK), Foton, MG, Tata Motors, Porsche, Bentley, Peugeot, subaru, Suzuki, Maxus, Honda, Ford, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, Isuzu, Citroen, Skoda, VW, Lamborghini, McLaren, Jeep, Ferrari, Maserati, Aston Martin, Rolls-Royce, Chang-An, Thairung, and many others. Among the trucks brands participating are Hino, Fuso and Foton.
The 19 motorcycle brands participating are MV Agusta, KTM, Ducati, AP Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, Vespa, Benelli, Keeway, SYM, Stallions, Kawasaki, Harley-Davidson, Lifan, Norton, BMW, Aprilia, and Yuda.
Meanwhile, the event will be highlighted with the debut of nine new models from eight brands namely Lamborghini, Lexus, Honda, Maxus, Foton, KIA, Subaru and Audi.
“Generally, August is marked as the low-season period for automotive industry so that none of the organisers chooses to host such events during this time. However, we see this as an opportunity to drive the industry, while operators in the industry agree to offer a number of attractive campaigns at the event,”said Jaruay.
The exhibition area will be filled with line ups of vehicles pricing from a few hundred thousand to over 40 million THBaht and over a million visitors are expected to help boost the inactive market environment.
Visitors to the event will be offered a chance to win prizes worth more than three million THBaht including a Lexus CT200H, Mitsubishi Triton, Suzuki Swift and six motorcycles.
