Chevrolet Indonesia offers more economical cost of ownership

JAKARTA —— With the rapid growth of Chevrolet sales in Indonesia, and the positive reception of Chevrolet Spin from the public, General Motors (GM) Indonesia continues its  commitment to providing a line-up of value for money vehicles. One of the main variables to fulfill the commitment is to offer more competitive parts pricing to Chevrolet customers.

Today, GM Indonesia announces that Chevrolet spare parts are offered up to 40 percent lower from current retail price. This programme will be officially rolled out on June 2014, and aimed to ease customers’ access to Chevrolet’s fast-moving and critical parts with lower price, especially for parts that commonly used for regular maintenance purpose, such as: Engine Oil, Oil Filter, Fuel Filter, Air Cleaner, Drive Belt, Brake Pad, Brake Shoe, Disc Clutch, and Cover Clutch.

GM Indonesia Customer Care director, Dadan Ramadhani, explained, “The parts price reduction programme was made possible through excellent coordination between all stakeholders such as Aftersales, Supply Chain, and Purchasing functions. By that, GM are able to readjust the parts price for fast-moving and critical parts which are the most sought after by consumers. The adjustment will reduce the part price up to 40 percent”.

The critical parts price reduction will be implemented mainly for the three backbone models, which are New Aveo, Captiva, and Spin (all variants).

In spite of 41 Dealers and 3 ASO (Authorised Service Outlet), Chevrolet also has approximately 730 part shops covering areas in all over Indonesia. Parts availability is also supported by warehouse area expansion which has now occupied almost 8,000 square metres, and is capable of storing up to 33,000 types of spare parts, which can be distributed daily throughout Indonesia.

Spin, the best MPV with lowest Cost of Ownership

“Especially for Spin, with its longer engine oil replacement interval (15.000 Km or 12 months, whichever comes first), 6 (Six) times free labor cost for regular maintenance, and by this reduction on fast moving parts price, Spin are now becoming more affordable to own and maintain, and become the most economical, the lowest cost of ownership in MPV segment”, stated Dadan.

The combination of those factors, resulting in very efficient Cost of Ownership (COO), which only approx. on IDRp.4 Million for 5 Years of Ownership for Spin 1,5L, and only approx. IDRp.5 Million for Spin 1.2L and Spin 1.3L (Diesel).

Introduction of Chevrolet Orlando MY14

The event is also held to introduce new Chevrolet Orlando MY14. The presence of this medium MPV to Chevrolet’s line-up reflected the brand’s approach to increase its share in the Indonesian MPV market segment. The New Orlando also will complete other existing models such as Aveo, Captiva, Spin, and Trailblazer.

GM Indonesia Sales and Network Development Director, Nataporn Jiramahapoka said, “With the introduction of the New Orlando, we hope that Indonesians will have more choices for affordable, stylish, and sophisticated medium MPV segment. Its appealing exterior look as well as smart entertainment system will be suitable for those who possess classy yet family-oriented character.”

Chevrolet Orlando MY14 offers refreshed exterior and interior features including additional  front fog lamp, turning lamp in outside rear view mirror, new alloy wheel design, and new colour options; sapphire mars stone and blue that will add luxurious feel.

Additional features such as Auto mode AC to AC manual will also allow the driver to adjust the temperature in the cabin to his own climate preference. Chevrolet Orlando MY14 is also have an audio with USB connection.

The new Chevrolet Orlando is available in LT variant with the price of IDRp.295,000,000 (on-the-road) Jakarta.
