NEW DELHI –—- Tata Motors has launched the all-new Aria in an exciting new avatar, with best-in-class performance and unmatched features. Offering class-leading space and comfort, loaded with exciting new equipment, the vehicle boasts state-of-the-art high-speed stability & safety features and a powerful new engine, making the all-new Aria perfect for every journey.
The new stylised decals clear lens tail lamps and black bezel double barrel headlamps, now further accentuate the exterior design of the Aria. On the inside, the all-new Aria features a new 2.2-litre VARICOR engine, with a powerful output of 150PS and a high low-end torque of 320Nm for better pick-up and quick response, returning a fuel efficiency of 15.05km/litre (ARAI certified). The new engine with VGT (Variable-Geometry Turbocharger) is electronically controlled with a lower-end flat torque, which kicks in from as low as 1,500 rpm, for a more precise response from the engine, improving in-city driving capabilities.
Now with unmatched in-car entertainment, the all-new Aria features a uniquely engineered entertainment experience, exclusively tailored by JBL from HARMAN Premium Sound System for the first time in India. The sound system is acoustically tuned for optimum performance and delivers an outstanding musical treat for occupants of each seat – four mid-range speakers, four tweeters, one centre speaker and 1 sub-woofer. JBL, a unit of Harman International Industries, Inc., specialises in audio equipment for consumers and for the entertainment and automotive industry.
Ankush Arora – Senior Vice President (Commercial), Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors Ltd., said, “At Tata Motors, the core philosophy behind the launch of every new vehicle is anticipating what our customers need and blending it with the best-in-class technology and design engineering. In-line with HORIZONEXT, we at Tata Motors have imbibed an aggressive four-pronged customer-focused strategy in the all-new Aria, giving our ever-discerning customers a vehicle that is more powerful, more fun, more reliable and extremely safe.”
UNMATCHED SPACE & LUXURY
Since its launch in March 2014, the all-new Tata Aria has marked its presence with its dominating stance and robust body-style, delivering a highly comfortable and unforgettable driving experience. Equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, the body-coloured rub rails with chrome inserts add to the look of the Tata Aria.
Designed to achieve an optimal balance between ride comfort, control and stability, the suspension of the Aria is tuned for both normal roads and off-roading conditions. Its low-roll characteristics and higher soaking capacity ensures sedan-like ride quality and SUV-like off-road capability.
Plush leather seats with beige fabric upholstery, door trims, height-adjustable driver’s seat, a tilt-adjustable steering and leather wrap for the steering wheel – all add to the innate sense of sophistication inside the cabin, along with the most comfortable driving positions.
The glasshouse of the Aria offers commanding visibility. Passengers can simply walk into the Aria, rather than having to climb up or lower themselves into the cabin. The three-row theatre style flexible seating ensures ample space. Like the driver and the front passenger seat, the second row seats can also be slid fore and aft to increase leg room. Both the second row and third row seats are fully collapsible to make the car roomier for accessories and luggage for that special weekend journey.
Dual AC, with Automatic Climate Control, through roof-mounted AC vents, keeps the cabin temperature ambient. Roof utility bins, a glove-box chiller and conveniently placed cup holders helps keep everything you want within easy reach. Keyless entry with a remote integrated key and power windows with Express Down switches add to the comfort and convenience of the Aria.
HI-TECH FEATURES & STYLE
As you drive out, the In-dash Navigation System, Power retractable ORVMs and an Ultrasonic Reverse Guide System, guides you to your destination, with the Driver Information System (DIS) indicating essential drive data, continuously. Darkness sensing- ‘follow me home’ headlamps and rain sensing wipers further add convenience to the drive.
Cruise Control on the steering allows the driver to set the vehicles speed. Steering mounted Blue 5 Connect for phones and music controls, helps switch between music and conversation at the touch of a button.
HIGH SPEED STABILITY & SAFETY
The Aria boasts best-in-class safety features, making it one of the safest cars on Indian roads.
The Aria’s frame is constructed with advanced hydroformed members, enhancing rigidity while reducing weight. Further, the body shell has crumple zones and the doors have side impact bars making it an extremely safe vehicle. Six airbags (driver, co-passenger, side and curtain airbags) give 360 degrees protection to all occupants.
The Tata Aria is equipped with disc brakes on all four wheels, resulting in superior braking effectiveness and better control. Antilock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Breakforce Distribution (EBD) aids steer-ability and control in emergency braking situations and on slippery surfaces.
To aid safety, the Aria’s ESP (Electronic Stability Programme) senses any mismatch between a driver’s intended direction and the actual direction of the car, automatically intervening to apply braking force to the appropriate wheel, thereby stabilising the vehicle. Along with ESP, the Aria’s Traction Control (TCS) maintains stability under situations of sudden acceleration.
The 4×4 Adapterra torque-on-demand system of the Aria senses the various terrain conditions, automatically supplying torque in varying proportions between the front and rear axles, aiding off-road driving, as well as stability on normal roads.
The Aria also comes with Perimetric Alarm System for added security.
UNMATCHED PEACE OF MIND
The all-new Aria is fitted with a new timing belt, with improved durability to 200,000 kms. A new replaceable cartridge-type pre-filter, provides for improved filtering for enhanced robustness of fuel injection system, thereby reducing cost of maintenance. The new VARICOR engine comes with a warranty of 3 years or 150,000 kms, whichever is earlier.
Available in 3 variants, the all-new Aria is being launched in three trims – PURE LX, PLEASURE and PRIDE 4×4, and starts at an attractive price of Rs 9.95lakhs. The all-new Aria comes with a vehicle warranty of 3 years or 100,000 kms, whichever is earlier.
