BANGKOK, 26 March 2014 —-TC Subaru (Thailand) Co. Ltd., the authorised distributor of Subaru vehicles in Thailand, recently launched the highly-anticipated Subaru WRX at The 35th Bangkok International Motor Show 2014 at IMPACT Challenger Hall, Muang Thong Thani.
The all-new Subaru WRX marks a major evolutionary step for the performance car with a rally heritage that has become a global automotive legend.
The all-new Subaru WRX
Propelled by the new 268-horsepower 2.0-litre Direct Injection Turbocharged (DIT) Boxer engine, the WRX will be available in a new standard 6-speed manual transmission as well as a new Sport Lineartronic transmission with manual mode.
The WRX will sport a new, refined look, with a much stiffer chassis, which includes a wide body styling, a new flat-bottom leather-wrapped steering wheel, sports exhaust system and 17-inch alloy wheels.
“The new Subaru WRX incorporates enhanced performance and handling traits to the brand’s iconic model, bringing luxury, comfort and refined performance in a sports sedan to a whole new level,” said Glenn Tan, executive director of Tan Chong International Ltd.
A roomier interior, upgraded cabin comfort and materials and a wide array of new user technologies give the new WRX a more refined feel. The central console area which houses all controls has been elegantly designed with carbon and metal trims.
In addition to Subaru’s core technology of Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, Variable Torque Distribution, an enhancement of the Vehicle Dynamics Control system, has been included, allowing drivers to enjoy a smooth, comfortable ride with predicable, responsive driving.
Since its debut in 1992, the WRX has gained worldwide support from car enthusiasts as a distinctive performance sedan combining impressive sport performance with the practicality of a four-door sedan.
Aside from the all-new Subaru WRX, the model line-up at the Subaru booth also featured its bestseller, the Subaru XV 2.0i Premium alongside the Legacy 2.5GT, Outback 2.5i, Forester 2.0XT and the Subaru BRZ.
The Subaru booth is located at the A21/1 area at The 35th Bangkok International Motor Show 2014.
