Nissan Almera officially launched in Malaysia

PETALING JAYA, Malaysia, 30 October 2012 — After announcing the introduction of Nissan Almera earlier in August, Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd (ETCM) today officially launched Nissan’s much-anticipated latest addition to the B segment sedan market in One World Hotel, Petaling Jaya.

Already open for bookings, the all-new Nissan Almera truly lives up to its promise of surprisingly more. Even with upscale technology features and spaciousness that are usually found in more premium vehicles, Nissan Almera is priced competitively from RM66,800.00 in line with Tan Chong’s commitment to providing affordable car ownership to Malaysians.

The Nissan Almera is differentiated by the standard specification E, well equipped V & full specification VL. For more personalisation, customers can opt for the exclusive ALMERA Optional Accessories. Premium accessories include the on board multimedia navigation console (with a rear view, DVD player, iPod connectivity, USB and Bluetooth capabilities), LED kicking plate and luxurious leather seats. Sport accessories by IMPUL Motor Racing Development, which have been tailored specifically to suit Malaysian roads, are also available. The complete Tuned by IMPUL package is available for all grades for an additional RM9,500.00. All with a 3-year or 100,000 km warranty (whichever comes first).

The Almera is built on an all-new global “V” (versatile) platform which utilises a lightweight yet rigid body. Powered by Nissan’s latest 1.5-litre HR15DE four-cylinder engine featuring Continuously Variable-valve Timing Control (CVTC) which offers excellent fuel efficiency of 14.9km/litre for automatic transmission and 15.9km/litre for manual transmission (combined cycle based on Nissan testing) as well as strong drivability.

The Almera delivers a full complement of safety features such as front airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist, as well as ISOFIX Child Seat System. It comes in five exciting colours; Bronze Gold, Sapphire Black, Twilight Grey, Tungsten Silver and Brilliant White.

The Nissan Almera has been enjoying acclaimed success particularly in US, Thailand and China, and has sold more than 500,000 units worldwide. Tan Chong is confident that Nissan’s Best Selling Global Sedan will also repeat this success in Malaysia. The price on-the-road with insurance in Peninsular Malaysia is Almera E 1.5 M/T RM66,800, 1.5 A/T RM69,800, V 1.5 A/T RM76,800 and VL 1.5 A/T RM79,800.

  1. unsatisfied and disappointed for nissan after sales service.May be i go to wrong showroom and get the bad service.I hope that malaysia nissan can improve their service in future.
